Strategic advisory across sport, family offices, and capital
One practice.
Two worlds.
One standard.
48X sits where sport, business, and capital meet. We connect the right people, and we translate between worlds that rarely speak the same language.
Start a conversation See the workWhere talent meets capital.
The people 48X works with, athletes, founders, and the brands around them, build real value, often at the moment they are least equipped to protect it. On the other side sit family offices, investors, and operators looking for exactly that: reach, trust, and a story worth backing. 48X stands between the two. We make the introductions that matter, and we translate, so both sides understand the opportunity, the person, and the long game. We work across all sports, men's and women's, and across business, from NIL and early ventures to the years well after the game.
i
Capital connection
We build the room. Family offices, private investors, and brand partners, convened around an athlete or an opportunity, with the right people present and every introduction made with care.
ii
Life after sport
Preparation that begins well before the final game: clarity of purpose, financial literacy, protection, and the structures that allow wealth to outlast a career.
iii
Brand and consumer partnerships
Aligning athletes with consumer brands and ventures where the fit is genuine and the value moves in both directions, drawn from seventeen years of relationships.
iv
Private convenings
The settings where capital and sport meet in person: dinners, houses, and the Wealth Beyond The Game series. Considered, discreet, and by invitation.
Independent by design.
When 48X brings people together, our only incentive is the quality of the room. There is no commission waiting on the other side of an introduction, which is precisely why a serious person can trust it.
- Flat retainer engagementsScope is defined in advance and billed as a flat retainer.
- No commissions or success feesWe never earn a percentage of a transaction.
- Not a placement agentWe advise and we connect. We do not sell securities or place capital.

The 48 & Forward Foundation
Some of the most meaningful work does not belong on an invoice. The 48 & Forward Foundation, a 501(c)(3), exists to help athletes through one of the hardest turns of their lives: the transition out of the game. When a career ends, by choice, by age, or by injury, an athlete can lose income, identity, and structure all at once. The foundation is built to meet that moment.
Its programs give the mission substance. Wealth Beyond The Game prepares athletes financially for life after sport. A wellness path refers athletes and their families to sports specialized clinicians, with the cost covered by the foundation. Community work extends the same support to underserved youth and to students whose paths were interrupted by injury or hardship.
The foundation is a companion to 48X, and is never billed under a client retainer.
April Monét founded 48X to connect the two worlds she has lived in.
A former collegiate basketball player whose career ended with injury, she rebuilt, and spent the following seventeen years working alongside professional athletes across public relations, brand strategy, and the business of life after sport. Having sat on both sides of the table, the locker room and the deal room, she understands how rarely either side is translated to the other.
That translation is the practice. April is the founder of 48X and of the 48 & Forward Foundation, and she holds the same standard in every room she enters.
48X works with a select number of clients at a time.
Athletes, family offices, and partners who value a room built with care. If that describes you, we would welcome the conversation.
